Wrinkled Runner Top 10 YouTube Videos
I was surprised to find out that I only did 5 YouTube videos in 2020.
It was definitely a weird year, but I was sure I had put some up last summer. Now that I think about last summer, though, I realize that it is true that I didn’t do any.
My daughter and her family came to visit in March of 2020. They live on the island of Antigua, and my grandson was going to be turning 5 so they had to come back to the States to renew his passport.
They had an appointment scheduled at the passport office to expedite, but the offices stopped processing passports 3 days before they went.
They ended up living with us for 5 months and it took until mid-July before he had his passport back.
My YouTube “studio” is on the third floor of our house, which used to be an apartment and where my daughters family camped out. We had a lot of fun with the grandkids during that time, and were so glad we moved from a 3ish bedroom condo to the house the year before!
All that to say, I didn’t do any videos until the Fall.
I am on a schedule now, so should be able to keep up much better!
Instead of doing a Top 4 list for 2020, lol, I’m going to post the all time Top 10 and then list the 4 from this year at the end of the post!
Top 10 All Time Youtube Videos
- Apple Intervals App– This video is the “old” version, so if you want to see what this app is all about click here for the updated tutorial. This app can set up intervals for your speed work, and if you are a run/walker you can set up prompts for that as well…whether you run by time or distance.
- Noka Superfood Pouch Review– These pouches are nice to carry on long runs for quick fuel. They have different flavors and are filled with fruit and veggies.
- Ucan Energy Review– I love this product for fueling before my long runs when I am marathon training. I like to mix it with my morning yogurt for breakfast since I mostly run in the morning.
- Nuun Hydration Review– Runners must really like product reviews! I use Nuun for electrolyte replacement, again on long runs. Water is my go-to, but if the run is over 10 and especially if it’s warm out I break a nuun tablet in half and mix it with water in one of my bottles. I think Nuun has the best taste of the hydrating tablets I’ve tried.
- Runners and Insomnia– As an older woman in menopause, I have a problem with insomnia. I can’t say it’s cured, but this video talks about some of the things I have tried to combat it.
- Symptoms of a Running Slump– My running was suffering when I was in the middle of marathon training. I was definitely overdoing it and found myself in the throes of a slump. After figuring out that was what was wrong with me, I worked to do something about it.
- Buffalo Marathon 2018 Recap– My first marathon!
- Throwing Legs Up on the Wall– If you do any longer runs and feel shaky or your legs are fatigued afterwords, try this restorative yoga pose to alleviate the pain and it really does feel good.
- Jacket Hack for Runners– I really do hate the word “hack”, but I learned this trick to keep my jacket on my waist when I was too warm and had to take it off.
- Runners Rice Pudding– I LOVE rice pudding, and since rice is carb I played around with making my own fueling rice pudding.
The Top 5 Videos from 2020 (and the only ones for 2020)!
- The Updated version of the Apple Intervals App
- Winter Running Gear for 2021
- RRCA Couch to 5k– the plan I recommend to beginners for learning to run (it’s more accurately a plan to get you running for 30 minutes straight, rather than a distance of 5k)
- Choosing Your Running Shoes
- Running Resolutions for 2021
And there you have it! I plan to do SO MUCH BETTER with my channel in 2021!
Next January I will have a Top 10 for 2021 list, I promise.
