Top 10 Podcast Episodes from The Wrinkled Runner
Our little series on The Wrinkled Runner Top 10 finishes today with the most popular podcast episodes.
Watching this little world develop over the last few years, along with my knowledge about running and my training has been a real journey.
I’m training for my fourth marathon now, and coaching my husband to his 6th or 7th half. Running is a major part of my life, and I’m so glad it is so I can keep up with my 4 grandchildren (with more on the way)!
Top 10 Podcast Episodes-
My podcast is geared more towards newer or older runners, so you will see some different content over there than on my blog or YouTube channel (although there is certainly some overlap)
1- Choosing Your Running Shoes– For new runners, choosing a shoe can be an intimidating endeavor and this episode is meant to give both good advice and confidence
2- Running Workouts– If you have been running for a while, learning how to perform different running workouts is usually something a runner is interested in doing. I talk about ones you can add to your training, and when.
3- Running by Time vs. Mileage– If running a certain distance is hard to fit in, knowing the exact time frame of a run can help you to stay in the game.
4- Hip Drop in the Runner– This is an issue that I actually have, that I never knew until I saw a picture of myself in a race. This episode talks about the condition, and even gives you a little assignment for spotting it in yourself.
5- Cross Training for the Runner– Everything that we do to stay active is not necessarily cross training. I share some ways that ARE .
6- Don’t Do Too Much, Too Soon– It is tempting to go all out when we start something new. Doing that with running can lead to injury or burnout.
7- RRCA Start to Run Program– If you aren’t running now, but would like to, I talk about this program that takes you from walking to running for 30 minutes in 10 weeks.
8- Running Mantra’s– Not only will having a mantra help you through a tough run, it can also help you pull yourself back from negative self talk.
9- Running Terminology for the Beginner Runner– Confused by the language some runners use? This may help.
10- The Warm Up – Runners often ignore the Warm Up. Listen to my reasoning why it’s so important.
